What we collect
The only personal data this site collects is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter ("The Unlock Letter"). We do not ask for your name, location, or anything else.
Why we collect it
Your email is used for one purpose: sending you the newsletter — new guides, new cities, nothing else, about one email a month. That's it.
Who handles it
Subscriptions are managed by Buttondown, an independent email service. Your address is stored on Buttondown's systems under their own privacy policy and is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. There are no ads on this site and no third-party trackers.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link — one click and you're out, no questions asked. If you want your address deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, reply to any newsletter email and ask; it will be removed.
